Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, including analytics, real-time processing, and data management. The role involves design input, testing, and integration across heterogeneous environments.

Strong emphasis on performance, scalability, and use of C++, Python, or Golang. Candidate must have Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance and be able to work on-site in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline required.
• Seven (7) years' Software Engineer experience required.
• AI/ML development or integration experience required.
• Terraform experience with AWS required.
• Experience with C++, Python, and/or Golang preferred.
• Experience with writing-performance / GPU-enabled applications preferred.
• Experience with large-scale streaming data analytics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
• Debug existing software and fix defects.
• Integrate software into new or modified systems or environments.
• Develop data queries for databases or data repositories.
• Propose improvements to documentation and software development standards.
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet performance and functional standards.
• Assist with testing procedures for software components.
• Document software and system designs.
• Serve as team lead at appropriate level.
• Modify existing software to improve performance and adapt to new hardware.
• Design or implement complex database interfaces/queries.
