Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Data Layer Engineer to design, implement, and optimize data transformation workflows for geospatial and non-geospatial datasets. You will work with ArcGIS Enterprise, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, and various cloud storages to support USSOUTHCOM J26 ENHANCED DOMAIN AWARENESS tasks.

The role requires Top Secret/SCI clearance, on-site work in a government contracting environment, and collaboration across data governance and security disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data management, information science, computer science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of equivalent experience in data governance or data management.
• Experience implementing metadata and data cataloging solutions.
• Knowledge of DoD/IC data security policies and compliance.
• Experience with data governance tools such as Databricks Unity Catalog, Collibra, Alation, AWS Glue, or Azure Purview.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize data transformation workflows for geospatial and non-geospatial datasets.
• Perform ETL processes, data structuring, and schema management.
• Work with ESRI geospatial data layers, ArcGIS Enterprise, and cloud-based geospatial services.
• Utilize databases including PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, and NoSQL.
• Manage cloud storage solutions such as AWS S3, Azure Blob, and Google Cloud Storage.
• Support Kubernetes-hosted geospatial applications.
