Job summary

Bowhead Family of Companies is seeking a Custodian / Classified Information Security Custodian to safeguard DoD- and NSWCDD-controlled classified information within secured containers and rooms. The role requires access control, alarm security, and strict handling of SF-700/701/702 forms, with experience in security assessment tools and DoD IA standards.

Qualified candidates typically have 5+ years in cybersecurity or classified material handling, a high school diploma (bachelors preferred), and

Qualifications

5+ years of cybersecurity, systems engineering, or classified material handling experience.
Knowledge of DoD security and IA requirements (DoDI 8500.2, DISA STIGs).
Familiarity with UNIX and Windows system administration.
Experience with security assessment tools such as Nessus.

Responsibilities

Maintain possession and accountability of security containers and contents.
Confirm clearance and need-to-know before access to classified material.
Report security incidents and coordinate with NDW Dispatch and NSWCDD Security Director.
Maintain SF-702 check sheets for openings/closings of security containers.
Ensure SF-701 and related forms are processed per policy, including destruction after 90 days.
Enforce combination changes per NSWCDD 5510.4, prevent tampering of alarms, and ensure container integrity.
