Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Security Specialist to support a federal government program. You will verify clearances via DISS, manage sensitive assets, and ensure compliance with ICD-705 SCIF standards across Marine Corps facilities.

The role requires an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility, five years of security experience, and knowledge of DoD/DOE security programs. The position emphasizes strict accountability and investigative reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
• 5 years of relevant security experience.
• Knowledge of DoD, DOE, or other industrial security programs.
• High School diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Verify user personnel security clearances and eligibility via DISS to authorize and issue physical and digital assets, courier letters, and courier badges.
• Manage and account for 675+ classified assets within the MCWL with 100% accountability.
• Coordinate comprehensive classified material inventories, handling, receipt, dispatch, reproduction and secure storage.
• Enforce safeguarding policies for classified information and sensitive data.
• Ensure SCIFs comply with ICD-705 standards and inspections by the SSO.
• Oversee GSA-approved security containers, document containers using SF-700 and manage inventory changes.
• Identify operational security risks and provide mitigations to prevent information spillage.
• Lead investigations into data spills and security compromises, draft AARs for leadership actions.
• Develop and maintain physical security procedures, visitor control, and security education across facilities.
