L2T, LLC is a fast-growing, mission-driven company based in Virginia, offering growth opportunities and mentorship. We seek a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate Linux-based platforms, build OpenStack private clouds, and implement IaC with robust CI/CD and observability.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive automation, and support cloud migrations across AWS and Google Cloud, while ensuring security and scalability in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• 5+ years designing or operating Linux infrastructure.
• Strong Linux Administration Experience (Ubuntu/Debian Preferred).
• Experience operating virtualized or private cloud environments.
• Experience with Docker and containerized workloads.
• Experience with Ansible or similar configuration management tools.
• Experience automating infrastructure deployments.
• Experience troubleshooting production infrastructure.
• Experience with several of the following: Virtualization/Hypervisor Solutions (OpenStack, Vmware, Proxmox, etc.)
• Experience with Apache NiFi
• Experience with Elasticsearch / Kibana
• Experience with GitOps workflows
• Experience with Terraform or OpenTofu
• Experience with AWS or Google Cloud
• Observability and monitoring platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Splunk)
• PostgreSQL
• Containerization and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, etc.)
• AI infrastructure (vLLM, Open WebUI, Jupyter)

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Linux-based infrastructure platforms
• Engineer and operate private cloud environments built on OpenStack
• Build repeatable infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management
• Design and maintain containerized application platforms using Docker
• Automate infrastructure deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management
• Support cloud migration initiatives across AWS and Google Cloud
• Build CI/CD and GitOps workflows that improve deployment consistency
• Engineer observability solutions including centralized logging and monitoring
• Support Apache NiFi dataflow infrastructure
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, virtualization, networking, and storage issues
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, and security
• Produce architecture documentation and operational runbooks
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical design reviews
