Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist to support security assessment investigations, including background investigations, reinvestigations, and security clearances. You will prepare detailed analyses, briefings, and recommendations to ensure eligibility for employment or access to classified information.

You will review background questionnaires, verify submitted data, and produce comprehensive reports for FBI and internal security processes, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years’ experience OR Associate’s Degree with 9 years’ experience in personnel security/investigative field.
• Active Top Secret US Government Clearance is required.
• Experience interpreting governmental and commercial database checks for investigations.

Responsibilities

• Review SF-86 and SF-85P questionnaires.
• Verify information submitted on applications and contact subjects to gather data.
• Prepare reports and summary sheets on investigation results and recommendations.
