Job summary

Agile Defense seeks a Linux Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and secure RHEL environments across on-site and hybrid-cloud networks supporting Army MI Domain systems. You will implement baselines, patch systems, and ensure RMF compliance while automating routines with Bash and Python, and using Ansible/Puppet/Chef for configuration management.

The role requires Top Secret/SCI with active clearance to start and advanced certifications, delivering enterprise-wide Linux solutions and cross-team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 15 years related experience.
• Experienced Red Hat Linux Administrator.
• IAT Level III security certs and CE/ RHCSA.
• Strong leadership and communications skills.
• Experience with Linux in hybrid-cloud and secure environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure Linux servers.
• Enforce RHEL baselines per security requirements and STIGs.
• Lifecycle management of RHEL systems including patching.
• Manage packages with YUM/DNF and related services.
• Harden systems with STIGs and RMF compliance.
• Automate tasks with Bash, Python and orchestration tools.
• Collaborate with IA, security, network, and app teams.
• Document configurations and remediation activities.
• Support vulnerability management and incident response.
