Job summary

BlackVe is seeking an experienced Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for Albuquerque to lead cybersecurity and information assurance for CUI and classified environments. You will build scalable security programs, coordinate RMF/A&A activities, and partner with FSO, engineering, facilities, and external vendors in a fast-paced startup setting.

The role requires an active Top Secret clearance, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong communication skills to support DoD/IC-aligned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for SAP access and ability to maintain.
• Five+ years of progressively responsible cybersecurity, information assurance, or classified IT operations experience.
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, RMF/ A&A processes, and related security documentation.
• Experience with managed service providers and third-party vendors; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity and information assurance programs for CUI and future classified systems.
• Support RMF, A&A, ATO, and continuous monitoring activities; develop SSPs and POA&Ms.
• Coordinate with customers, government representatives, assessors, and cybersecurity partners.
• Oversee secure IT operations, onboarding/offboarding, asset management, and incident response.
• Prepare for CMMC Level 2 readiness and ensure compliance with NIST 800-171, DFARS, and contractual obligations.
