Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an active Top Secret-cleared FOIA Specialist to support DARPA by processing FOIA requests and guiding staff for compliance with federal laws and policies.

Responsibilities include handling intake, searches, SME coordination, detailed redaction, and case-file management while ensuring timely responses. A Bachelor’s degree plus 4+ years of FOIA experience is required; TS clearance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required plus four years of FOIA processing experience
• Five+ years of FOIA processing experience preferred
• Experience with FOIA exemptions, submitter notices, and related processes
• Experience using FOIAXpress or similar FOIA tracking software
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Receive, log and process FOIA requests with searches for responsive records
• Coordinate with SMEs and update FOIA case management tracking systems
• Prepare detailed, high-quality FOIA responses and ensure timeliness
• Redact withheld information neatly and indicate exemptions clearly
• Communicate status and requirements to stakeholders at all levels
• Develop and implement agency-wide FOIA policies and procedures
• Collect and analyze data for annual FOIA activity reporting
• Perform other duties as assigned
