Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Security Specialist- Top Secret to join a Cloud and Technology company in Morrisville, NC. This onsite role partners with engineering teams to maintain and improve enterprise cloud environments and security operations.

Responsibilities include managing device accountability, onboarding/offboarding, security staff, assessments, and incident reporting. Requires 0-2 years in related fields, Python, cloud platforms, Linux, and IaC tools; TS clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field.
• 0-2 years in software engineering, cloud technologies, DevOps, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python development with automation and scripting.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with Linux, CI/CD, containers, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage cloud infrastructure, automation, and deployment initiatives in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Support personnel security processes including onboarding/offboarding and clearance workflows.
• Assist in security assessments, self-inspections, vulnerability testing, and compliance reviews.
• Coordinate administrative inquiries related to adverse information, incidents, and reporting.
• Apply knowledge of NISPOM, SEAD-3, and ICDs to security operations and regulatory compliance.
• Utilize security systems and databases (DISS, NBIS, eAPP, SWFT, NISS, ACCS) for program security.
