August Schell is seeking cleared Security Architects to support anticipated federal cybersecurity initiatives. Remote, full-time opportunities with active TS clearance required and potential for Q clearance.

Compensation ranges from $95k to $160k based on experience. Primary duties include designing enterprise security architectures, translating requirements into controls, and leading RMF/FISMA-aligned security implementations across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• Ability to obtain Q Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• 5+ years of relevant cybersecurity or security architecture experience (level dependent).
• Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited university.
• Experience with NIST RMF, FISMA, Zero Trust architectures, or federal cloud security standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and guide implementation of enterprise and system-level security architecture throughout the development lifecycle.
• Translate federal security requirements, laws, and regulations into technical design controls and processes.
• Develop secure system architectures aligned with NIST RMF, FISMA, and related federal standards.
• Integrate security controls across enterprise platforms and cloud/on-prem environments.
• Provide technical leadership on architecture decisions, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance alignment.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and program stakeholders.
