Job summary

Prescient Edge seeks a Journeyman- Applications Programmer to support a Federal Government client at NAS Patuxent River, MD. The role requires development, testing, and maintenance of software applications, with opportunities for on-the-job training and career growth.

Qualified candidates have at least 3 years of related experience, experience converting user needs into software solutions, and a TS security clearance.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a technical or scientific discipline; security clearance required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in applied software development and testing.
• Experience writing, testing, and maintaining software applications to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Create, test, and refine software applications to user-friendly specifications.
• Assist in definition, development, testing, analysis, and maintenance of software.
• Interact with customers to gather requirements, and train users and staff.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions with CS/engineering concepts.
• Update software and coordinate software-hardware integration when needed.
