Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an AI Engineer to support national security initiatives in Chantilly, VA. The role focuses on designing AI-driven solutions, preprocessing large datasets, and advancing model development for real-world applications.

You will join a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver scalable AI capabilities, monitor production models, and document architectures and best practices.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, CS or related technical field.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience with ML algorithms and large language models.
• Knowledge of Agentic AI frameworks (Pydantics, CrewAI, Langchain).
• Proficiency in Python and Java.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-driven solutions to solve complex problems and improve processes.
• Prepare and preprocess data from multiple sources for model training.
• Train, validate, and optimize large language models; evaluate and iterate.
• Engineer features from raw data to boost model performance.
• Monitor model performance and deploy automated monitoring in production.
• Document designs and best practices for AI solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, PMs and stakeholders.
