Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. (GDIT) is seeking an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Engineer to develop and tune LLMs and NLP pipelines, enabling smarter analytic workflows for national security workloads.

You’ll work with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, and HuggingFace, deploying models on GPUs while collaborating with data teams and stakeholders. The role requires 8+ years of IT/AI experience, a Bachelor’s or Master’s in an IT field, and TS/SCI with Polygraph

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience in AI/ML
• Bachelor or Master’s in an IT discipline or equivalent
• Experience with modern deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras)
• Hands-on GPU-accelerated computing experience
• Experience testing/validating AI systems focusing on LLMs
• Experience designing experiments to test LLM performance
• Experience tuning neural networks on custom datasets
• Proficiency in Python or R; solid SQL and data wrangling
• Version control with GitHub; CI/CD with Jenkins

Responsibilities

• Develop and adapt Large Language Models (LLMs) and NLP methods using AI/ML frameworks
• Improve analytic workflows and address key intelligence questions with AI solutions
• Test, evaluate, and validate AI system performance (LLMs) and benchmarks
• Design and execute experiments to measure LLM performance and reliability
