Job summary

Adept Nursing & Rehab of Central City is seeking an attentive Housekeeping Aide to maintain clean, safe resident areas under supportive leadership in Central City, NE.

You will clean rooms, floors, and common areas, follow infection-control policies, and contribute to a friendly, dependable team. Immediate start possible; benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, PTO, and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow procedures, work assignments, instructions, warnings, and labels
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Adequate strength and endurance for physical duties such as loading and unloading washers and dryers; coordination to fold clothing and linens
• Color vision to distinguish stains and separate colored garments from white

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, surgical areas, offices, and waiting areas using cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
• Clean and sanitize floors, equipment, and furniture according to infection-control policies
• Sweep, mop, and buff floors as needed
• Operate various types of cleaning equipment
• Handle and dispose of waste using standard procedures
• Clean mattresses and beds according to established procedures
• Collect laundry from residents' areas and place it in designated locations; collect, sort, wash, and dry residents' laundry
• Fold, stack, and distribute clean linens, personal laundry, and hospital gowns
• Assist in keeping the laundry department neat, clean, and orderly
• Label clothing and personal resident items
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies according to prescribed standards
• Monitor inventory of supplies such as paper towels, soap, toilet paper
