Job summary

Central Nursing Home is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team. This role will primarily support housekeeping operations and will be cross-trained in laundry to assist with laundry services based on facility needs.

The position supports a team focused on maintaining a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors, with opportunities for professional growth and meaningful work in a resident-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare, long-term care, hotel, or similar environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and other assigned areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces.
• Empty trash and properly dispose of waste.
• Replenish supplies in resident rooms and common areas.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and infection-control procedures.
• Report maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Respect resident privacy, dignity, and personal belongings while performing assigned duties.
• Assist the laundry department as needed after completing cross-training.
• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and resident clothing as assigned.
