Stine, LLC is seeking a Sales Associate in Sulphur, LA to engage customers in-store and via phone. You will assist customers with home improvement projects, provide knowledgeable guidance, and use quoting systems and computer software to support sales. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

The role requires basic reading/writing ability and familiarity with building materials. Physical effort may include standing, walking, and some lifting in a retail environment.

Job Summary:

Sales Associates are responsible for engaging with customers in a professional and courteous manner, both in-store and over the phone. This role involves assisting customers with their home improvement or construction projects by providing knowledgeable guidance and support. It requires knowledge of the building and home improvement industry, strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as technical proficiency in quoting and computer systems. A commitment to delivering excellent customer service is essential.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Basic education, which includes the ability to competently read and write.
2. Training and Experience: Some experience in selling/serving customers and building materials knowledge is desirable, as well as limited typing and key punch skills, but not required.
3. Job Knowledge: Should have general knowledge of the building industry.
4. Physical Demands: Work requires some physical effort; involves standing, much walking and medium lifting. Works in an air-conditioned environment as well as non-A/C controlled environment. (Important: This job is classified in the physical demands section of the job description [Form IV-31] as constant medium work and occasional heavy work.)
