Job summary

Amcor in Henderson, NV, is seeking a Tool Room Attendant to organize and maintain the maintenance shop and supply rooms. The role includes inventorying tools, maintaining small hand tools, and performing daily safety inspections.

You will assist the Maintenance Manager with purchasing, manage min/max levels, and ensure a clean, well-organized shop environment. Previous shop experience and basic computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Preferred High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude is required.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • 1–2 years in a maintenance shop environment preferred.
  • 1–2 years inventory work experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
  • Valid Class-C Driver License required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage inventory for tools, supplies and machine parts.
  • Create Min and Max inventory levels and perform daily counts.
  • Assist Maintenance Manager on purchasing tools, supplies and machine parts.
  • File and maintain equipment manuals (Master, Maintenance & Machine).
  • Keep shop clean and organized and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Perform daily safety inspections in the shop and on equipment.
  • Coordinate shipping of parts and equipment for repair.
  • Receive and stock inventory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

JOB TITLE: Tool Room Attendant

LOCATION: Henderson, NV

REPORTS TO: Technical Manager

FLSA STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt

PURPOSE:
Organize and maintain cleanliness of maintenance shop and supply rooms. Inventory and cycle count all tools and supplies in the maintenance department. Clean and maintain all small hand tools and equipment in the shop, including grinders, lathes, mills.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary duties and responsibilities of the Tool Room Tech. consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop, implement and manage inventory for all tools, supplies and machine parts in the shop.
  • Create Min and Max inventory levels and perform daily inventory cycle counts.
  • Assist Maintenance Manager on purchasing tools, supplies and machine parts.
  • File and maintain equipment manuals (i.e. Master, Maintenance & Machine).
  • Keep maintenance shop clean and organized.
  • Clean and maintain small hand tools and shop equipment.
  • Perform daily safety inspections in the shop and on shop equipment.
  • Coordinate shipping of parts and equipment for repair.
  • Receive and stock inventory.
  • Perform any other duties established by the Maintenance Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic Mechanical Aptitude required.

  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Valid Class-C Driver License required
