Job summary

Adecco in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to transform Tool and Die experience into creating jigs, fixtures, dies, and tooling for medical instrument manufacturing. This hands-on role requires working with tight tolerances, complex projects, and proactive problem solving to keep production moving.

Toolmaker

Put your Tool and Die experience to work creating the jigs, fixtures, dies, and tooling used to manufacture medical instruments. This is a hands-on opportunity for a skilled Toolmaker who enjoys complex projects, tight tolerances, and solving problems that keep production moving. Direct Hire - $35 - $47 hr - Bridgeport location.

In this role, you will:

• Build, repair, and rework precision tooling from blueprints, written instructions, or verbal direction.
• Set up and operate CNC machining centers, manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and other tool room equipment.
• Plan machining operations based on materials, tolerances, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
• Inspect completed work to print, document results, troubleshoot issues, and complete preventive maintenance.
• Help train and support new Toolmakers and Apprentices while maintaining a safe, organized work area.

You will be a strong fit if you have:

• 5+ years of Tool and Die making experience.
• A high school diploma or GED; vocational training or an apprenticeship is preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD and/or CAM, along with strong blueprint-reading and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities, complete complex work independently, and provide realistic completion estimates.
• Exceptional precision, attention to detail, and a team-focused approach.

Location - Bridgeport, CT

Pay range - $35 - $50 hr , DOE

Pay Details:

$35.00 to $50.00 per hour
