Job summary

CompX National is hiring Toolmakers and Precision Machinists for our Mauldin, SC location. Responsibilities include building and repairing tooling, operating wire EDM and CNC tooling, and reading blueprints.

Required are a high school diploma or GED and 5+ years in tool room work, with strong safety, troubleshooting, and attention to detail. Company-paid health plans, 401(k) with match, and tuition reimbursement are offered.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair tooling and dies.
• Operate tool room equipment including wire EDM and CNC vertical, Haas mill, Bridgeport mill, grinders, etc.
• Build fixtures, tooling, machine parts, etc., and form prints via reverse engineering.
• Fabricate jigs, tools, dies, and master tooling.
• Build prototype parts for Engineering.
• Operate Mastercam software.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
