Job summary

CompX National is seeking Toolmakers and Precision Machinists for our Mauldin, SC location. You will build and repair tooling, operate wire EDM and CNC equipment, and reverse engineer prints to fabricate fixtures and dies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years of tool room experience.
• Strong understanding of safety, operations, and maintenance documents and procedures.
• Working knowledge of machine troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair tooling and dies.
• Operate tool room equipment including wire EDM and CNC vertical, Haas mill, Bridgeport mill, grinders, etc.
• Build fixtures, tooling, machine parts, etc., and form prints via reverse engineering.
• Fabricate jigs, tools, dies, and master tooling.
• Build prototype parts for Engineering.
• Operate Mastercam software.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
