Responsibilities

• Design, build, or repair dies, jigs, fixtures and related tooling for manufacturing.
• Set up and operate tool-room equipment to build, repair, revise and service tooling.
• Study parts and drawings to determine methods and sequence of operations.
• Use CAD/CAM to generate NC programs for mills and lathes.
• Fabricate, assemble, and modify tooling to produce parts and assemblies.
• Use precision measuring instruments for inspection and quality control.
• Repair tools and fixtures to specifications and ensure operability.
• Maintain equipment and document department activities.
