Job summary

Compacting Tooling Inc. is seeking a Toolmaker/Manual Machinist to create precision tools within our manufacturing process. You will grind, lathe, and mill material to produce the required pieces, drawing on experience as a lathe operator or die maker.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with grinding and milling equipment, is detail-oriented, and can work independently or as part of a team. CAD experience is a plus, and strong mechanical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Apprenticeship or journeyman program helpful, not required.
• Tool and Die making experience a plus.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with CAD software helpful.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints from engineers and customers.
• Use machines such as OD, ID, surface grinders (manual & automatic), CNC Mills, Haas lathe, EDM Ram Sinker, EDM Wire.
• Perform quality checks and adjust as needed.
• Adhere to stringent deadlines.
• Accurately record production times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety protocols.

In this position, you will be responsible for grinding, lathe, and milling material to create desired pieces we need. Our ideal applicant has experience as a lathe operator or die maker as well as skills with milling machines.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Read blueprints from engineers and customers
• Ability to use various machines such as OD, ID, surface grinders (manual & automatic) CNC Mills, Haas lathe, EDM Ram SInker, EDM Wire
• Perform quality checks and make adjustments as needed
• Adhere to stringent deadlines
• Accurately record production times
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety protocols

Requirement and Qualifications
