Jobot in Ohio is seeking a Toolmaker Bench Technician for an on-site, permanent role. You will build precision tooling, assemble components, and troubleshoot tooling to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The position requires hands-on mechanical work, accuracy, and the ability to read models and drawings. A strong team player attitude and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble precision tooling and related components.
  • Fit and align individual components during the tooling build process.
  • Read and reference tool models, drawings, and bills of material as needed.
  • Install and route water and hydraulic lines.
  • Assist with the installation of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components.
  • Polish and finish tooling surfaces and components.
  • Safely operate shop equipment such as surface grinders, bench grinders, and wire wheels.

$28 - $35 per hour | Cuyahoga Falls, OH | On-site | Permanent

Job Details

We’re looking for a Bench Technician / Tooling Assembly Technician who enjoys hands‑on mechanical work and takes pride in building precision tooling.

In this role, you'll work with machined tooling components and take part in the fitting, assembly, plumbing, finishing, and preparation of tools for final delivery. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with their hands, and enjoys projects that require attention to detail and problem-solving.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Assemble and disassemble precision tooling and related components
  • Fit and align individual components during the tooling build process
  • Read and reference tool models, drawings, and bills of material as needed
  • Install and route water and hydraulic lines
  • Assist with the installation of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components
  • Polish and finish tooling surfaces and components
  • Safely operate shop equipment such as surface grinders, bench grinders, and wire wheels
  • Use appropriate material‑handling equipment to move tooling and components
  • Verify that the correct materials, tooling, and setup items are available for scheduled work
  • Identify potential production or scheduling issues and communicate them to leadership
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safety‑focused work area
  • Help keep tooling projects moving toward quality, cost, and delivery expectations
What we're looking for:
  • Approximately 2+ years of relevant manufacturing, tooling, mechanical assembly, or hands‑on shop experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently once given direction
  • Ability to work effectively within a team‑oriented shop environment
  • Organized and safety‑conscious approach to work
  • Willingness to learn new processes, equipment, and technology
  • A dependable, positive attitude with the persistence to work through challenging builds
