Position: Toolmaker 3 – Non-Exempt

Location: Cheshire, CT

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

1. Analyze specifications, lay out material stock, set up and operate machine tools.
2. Fabricate and repair jigs, fixtures, gauges, molds, and tools using knowledge of machining, metal properties, and assembly procedures.
3. Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock; verify dimensions and tolerances to .0001".
4. Operate machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders; document inspection procedures; inspect parts for quality.
5. Assist with wiring and hydraulic line connections; develop specifications for tools and fixtures; participate in training.
6. Travel domestically up to 10% as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 5+ years in tool making; vocational/trade school experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, machine gauges, and precision instruments; proficient in English.
• Must be a U.S. Person capable of working with ITAR data.
