Job summary

Jobtailor in Missouri seeks an experienced Toolmaker to build tooling from drawings and customer specifications, reading blueprints and setting up tools to meet production needs in a safe, quality-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will have a toolmaker certification or equivalent with 8+ years in a toolroom, proficiency with mills, lathes, MIG/Weld, overhead crane and powered industrial truck operation, and strong math/measurement skills.

Qualifications

• Toolmaker certification or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in a toolroom or machine shop.
• Knowledge of shop mathematics and measuring tools.
• Able to read blueprints and layout/set up tools accordingly.
• Able to use overhead crane and drive a powered industrial truck.

Requirements

• Toolmaker certification or equivalent experience
• 8+ years in a toolroom or machine shop
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Knowledge of shop mathematics and the use of tools for measuring such as micrometers, calipers and gauges
• Able to read blueprints and layout / set up tools accordingly
• Able to use overhead crane and drive powered industrial truck
• Skilled in the use of mills and lathes and power tools such as surface grinders, including MIG / ARC weld as needed
