Parker Hannifin, located in Elyria, Ohio, is looking for a skilled individual to handle tooling tasks in a precise engineering environment. Responsibilities include making and re-grinding tooling, reworking gauges, and troubleshooting on the shop floor. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a Journeyman’s card in Tool and Die preferred.

Make and re-grind tooling to close tolerances used on machines throughout the operation. Rework gauges and gauge plugs. Check vendor tooling on a limited basis, repair fixtures, jigs and tools utilizing complex prints and interface with engineering. Required to visit shop floor and troubleshoot. Must requisition supplies.
Works independently. Selects materials, standards and methods to be used. Knowledge of the general production system is a must. In the absence of specifications or design, details must proceed from own conception. Trains others and assigns work. Maintain neat and clean area. Must maintain the highest degree of quality, safety, cost reduction and customer service continuously.
