Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a Tooling Technician in Bowling Green, KY, to ensure tooling meets process expectations in a fast-paced stamping facility. The ideal candidate will have strong manual dexterity, be detail-oriented, and able to work across 3 shifts with OT as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related work experience.
• Trade certification.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate oral and written instructions.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time/ lift 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Able to work 3-shift model: Midnights, Days, Afternoons, and required OT.

Responsibilities

• Compute dimensions and tolerances to set up machine tools.
• Position, secure, measure and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining.
• Assemble/disassemble parts to test completed tools, dies, jigs or fixtures for proper operation.
• Directly work with suppliers to print, design, or build situations to ensure tool expectations are met.
• Analyze manufacturing repairs and adjustments to formulate solutions in standardized situations.
• Other duties as assigned.
