Job summary

Epic Aircraft, LLC in Bend, Oregon, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our high-performance manufacturing facilities safe, functional, and well-maintained. You’ll perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with outside contractors as needed.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in facilities or building maintenance, a basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications are a plus.
  • 3–5 years of facilities, building, or general maintenance experience.
  • Valid driver’s license required; reliable winter transportation.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry systems; reads blueprints/schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical).
  • Inspect facilities to identify issues before they worsen and perform repairs.
  • Maintain doors, floors, lighting, walls, ceilings, etc., and basic carpentry/painting tasks.
  • Keep inventory of tools and supplies; coordinate with supervisors and contractors as needed.
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly and assist with snow removal when required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a member of the Facilities Maintenance Team, the Facilities Maintenance Technician will help keep our facilities safe, functional, and well-maintained. This hands-on role is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and completing repairs, and responding to maintenance requests throughout the facility. You'll work on a variety of building systems and equipment while helping ensure our facilities remain in good working order and meet company and regulatory standards. We are seeking an experienced candidate for this role. Previous experience working in a large facility such as a warehouse, manufacturing facility, school, airport, or commercial building is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues before they become larger problems
  • Repair and maintain doors, floors, lighting, walls, ceilings, windows, and restroom fixtures
  • Perform minor carpentry, painting, drywall patching, and other general building repairs
  • Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies; notify the supervisor when supplies need to be reordered
  • Coordinate with and assist outside contractors as needed
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
  • Perform snow removal during the winter, including shoveling and operating a snow blower as needed
  • Follow all applicable safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent
  • Assist with moving furniture, assembling equipment, and setting up for company events and activities
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Required
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or relevant certifications are a plus
  • 3-5 year of facilities, building, or general maintenance experience
  • Candidates will be required to provide proof of a valid driver's license
  • Must have reliable transportation during the winter months
  • Working knowledge of basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Proficiency with common hand and power tools
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime and participate in on-call responsibilities as needed
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a positive, professional attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to following instructions and maintaining high-quality work
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the facility as needed
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and able to prioritize competing tasks
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and move throughout a large facility
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and work in various positions
  • Ability to climb ladders and safely work from elevated surfaces as needed
  • Ability to use hand and power tools and perform repetitive hand and arm movements
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to perform snow removal, including shoveling and operating a snow blower when necessary
  • Ability to safely navigate manufacturing and maintenance environments, including areas with noise, equipment, and changing temperatures
  • Ability to respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE

Monday – Friday
7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Starting Pay: Competitive Depending on Experience
