Job summary

Menasha Corporation in Bardstown, KY is seeking a Tooling Technician to ensure all mold and tooling prep, design and repairs are executed promptly to maintain continuous operation and meet tool specifications.

You will interpret blueprints, troubleshoot tooling issues, and perform repairs on mold systems during production runs, with a focus on safety and preventive maintenance. Training and growth opportunities are provided within a two-company packaging and supply chain leader.

Qualifications

• 1 year of continuous employment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Blueprint reading.
• Electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and tool drawings/designs and implement engineering changes on molds and tools.
• Troubleshoot, solve and perform mold and tooling repairs and retrofit work.
• Repair hot runners systems, valve operated gating systems, water leaks, damages, etc.
• Perform mold repair and troubleshooting activities in the press during production runs.
• Perform regular mold preventive maintenance activities.
• Understanding of insert and version changes on molds.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required.
• Knowledge of hand tool use and care.
