Job summary

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, seeks a Tooling Technician Trainee to support tube mill tooling changeovers and setup for continuous operation during the shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience using measuring devices (calipers, tape measure, micrometers).
• Good communication with coworkers to ensure continuous mill flow.

What you will be doing:

• Maintain clean, safe, organized work area, 5S
• Cross Training of team members on mill set ups
• Ability to follow standardized set up charts
• Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor

The skills and experience you need:

• High school or equivalent
• Experience in using special measuring devices, calipers, tape measure, micrometers.
• Work with well with other for support of equipment safety and operation.
• Ability to retain information that is being taught and shown.
• Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames
• Good Mechanical Aptitude
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Good communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill and material handler for proper tagging of product.
• Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions to support mill requirements.
• Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities.
