Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group seeks a Roll Form Mill Operator in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The role involves ensuring the continuous operation of the roll form mill, performing quality checks, and maintaining safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience with roll tooling, special measuring devices, and strong mechanical aptitude. This position will work the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, from 3:00pm to 1:30am, with abundant opportunities for cross-training and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate ability to navigate and set up equipment properly.
• Experience with roll tooling setups and changeovers.

Job description

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Roll Form Mill Operator. This position will be responsible for the roll form operations and equipment of the mill to insure continuous operation during the shift. This will be a 2nd shift position; Monday - Friday, 3:00pm to 1:30am.

What you will be doing

• Safety, quality, priorities above all
• Focus on the keeping the mill operational
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work area, 5S
• Cross Training of team members on parts programming and mill set ups
• TPM of process and equipment in the area
• Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor
• Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products.
• Minimize scrap
• Work with maintenance hands on to get issues resolved in a timely manner.

The skills and experience you need

Education

• High school or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in using special measuring devices, calipers, tape measure.
• Must be able to navigate, set up equipment controller for proper operation and parts programming.
• Roll Tooling experience with set ups and change over.
• Change out press dies, cut off jaws, blades, and refill oil levels of equipment.
• Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames
• Good Mechanical Aptitude
• Forklift and overhead crane certification
• Experience with Robot programming

Other

• Must be able to document downtime through seamless reporting system to drive KPI tracking
• Good communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill and material handler for proper tagging of product.
• Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
• Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities.
