Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Journeyman status or 8 years' Tool and Die experience.
• Experience with IATF16949, ISO 14001 and Q1 compliance.
• Proficient in blueprint GD&T and reading dies/part prints.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily tooling maintenance activities and Tool Room staff.
• Maintain education matrix and records demonstrating IATF compliance.
• Promote Lean Manufacturing principles using 5S and Kaizen.
• Coordinate with Production Supervisors to optimize stamping operations.
• Ensure safety and environmental training compliance.
• Provide instructions for tool changes and process improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain education matrix(s) and associated recordsdemonstratingcompliance to the IATF Management system

• Adapt and promoteLeanManufacturing principals using5”S” and Kaizen

• Support the Company’s Goals and Objectives through continuous improvement action plan participation and completion

• Supervise and schedule the daily preventative maintenance activities in the Tool Room

• Maintain employee compliance of5”S” requirements at assigned areas in Tool Room

• Provide Job Instruction for the following:

• Maintain required safety levels on plant floor

• Ensure that production requirements are satisfied

• Ensure that Company policies and procedures are followed and adhered to

• Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis

• Quality requirements: Authorized to make decisions concerning quality issues in tandem with the assigned Program Manager

• Supervises the daily activities of the Toolmakers and MetalForming SpecialistsEmployees

• Works closely with theGeneralProduction Supervisor tooptimizestamping operations

• May give direction to members of the Press Team

• Serves in the capacity ofwaste waterhandlercommensuratewith completion of proper environmental training

• Other duties as assigned by theTooling Manager

Work Requirements:

Knowledge and Skills

• Mustdemonstrateproficiencyin Blueprint GD&T interpretation of dies, details, and part prints

• Must be able to interpret C.M.M. or Gaging information and direct personnel to perform adjustments tomaintainCustomer part Quality

• Usage of a computer and other productivity machinery such as control panels

• Mustpossessworking knowledge of Excel, Word, andPowerPointsoftware

• Possess working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria tomaintainmanufacturing environmental standards to protect and preserve our customers product and the environment

Education

• Highschool diploma or GED

• Some college and/or technical trade manufacturing education is preferred

Experience

• Journeyman status or eight years’ experience in Tool and Die build, Prototype, or Die Repair Technician
