The role requires strong communication, SAP tooling proficiency, and blueprint reading skills, with extensive experience in tooling design and procurement.

The candidate will work onsite in Middletown, CT, interfacing with Manufacturing Engineers and Production Supervisors to optimize tool

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in engineering/manufacturing/procurement or tooling design/tool room environment.
• Associate's degree with 7+ years in engineering/manufacturing/procurement or tooling design/tool room environment.
• High School diploma/GED with 9+ years in engineering/manufacturing/procurement or tooling design/tool room environment.

Responsibilities

• Review tooling requests for manufacture, alteration, and repair of durable tooling.
• Create SAP notifications and PM Orders with cost estimates and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with suppliers to deliver quality tooling that meets production requirements.
• Procure quotes and manage supplier activities with buyers.
• Set up repairs, new makes, and rejects in SAP Order materials and components.
• Identify and resolve technical issues for manufacture, design, inspection, and tool try-out.
• Provide routine status reports to customer and tooling management via SAP; manage SAP reports daily.
