Job summary

evcoplastics in Calhoun, GA seeks a Tooling Project Engineer to lead end-to-end tooling projects from quote through launch. You'll coordinate timelines, review CAD/prints for manufacturability, and work with mold shops and customers to ensure moldability and on-time delivery.

Daily tasks include reviewing quotations, qualifying mold vendors, and maintaining project communication. Some travel to supplier sites may be required; overtime could be needed to hit milestones.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• CAD proficiency and ability to read blueprints.
• 5–10 years as a mold maker and/or mold design engineer.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and compare tooling quotations; track progress from kickoff through completion.
• Support plastic injection mold and related tooling design; review CAD/prints for manufacturability.
• Partner with customers on part design for moldability and tooling strategy.
• Identify/qualify mold vendors, maintain supplier relationships, and manage project communication.
• Troubleshoot molds; drive root-cause and corrective actions.
• Define and maintain preventive maintenance requirements for molds.
