Responsibilities

• Designs portions of engineering solutions for mechanical and thermal hardware, electronics enclosures, and production tooling.
• Participates with other engineers and partners to develop reliable and cost-effective solutions.
• Implements test plans and validates tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, and process capability.
• Evaluates failures and determines root causes for tooling/components.
• Analyzes rapid prototypes that integrate electrical, mechanical, and software components.
• Conducts feasibility studies, design margin and validation analyses.
• Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including deliverables, schedules and costs.
• Provides technical guidance to vendor teams to resolve challenges.
• Identifies cross-functional challenges and provides data-driven recommendations.
