Job summary

Shively Bros in North Carolina is hiring a Tooling Presetter to support daily production. You will prepare and maintain tooling, review schedules, and ensure materials are ready for use. The role involves basic machine shop tasks, tool cleaning, and collaborative problem-solving with a safety-focused team.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred) and a valid driver’s license. You will work on-site with PPE and contribute to meeting production targets while gaining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Capable of following tasks with minimal supervision and multitasking.
• Collaborative with others and able to work in a team.
• Solid mechanical skills and knowledge of using hand tools.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and repetitively lift for extended periods.
• Comply with safety guidelines; wear PPE and handle materials safely.
• Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Review the daily schedule and ensure materials are available and ready for use.
• Clean and prepare used tooling for production.
• Operate simple hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches) and tool measuring devices.
• Input and communicate test results and billing system information.
• Provide input to help solve manufacturing problems related to tool setup.
• Occasionally operate machine shop equipment (saws, sanders, sandblaster, polisher).
