SHIVELY DIVERSIFIED MANAGEMENT SERVICES, LLC is seeking a Tooling Presetter to support our team in Columbus, IN. You will review schedules, prepare materials, and handle tooling preparation to keep production flowing.

The role requires basic tool handling, attention to detail, and adherence to safety guidelines. You will work with hand tools, measuring devices, and shop equipment, occasionally operating saws and polishers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to follow tasks and instructions with minimal supervision.
• Collaborative and works well in a team.
• Mechanical aptitude and tool usage understanding.
• Able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
• Comply with safety guidelines, PPE, and safe handling.
• Successful pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Job description

We currently have an opening for a Tooling Presetter to support our team. Experience working with hand tools, power tools, automobile maintenance, and home repairs is helpful. In this position, you will complete tasks to support our team and ensure they have the materials required to meet the production schedule and keep work flowing. Our employees are well compensated and eligible for benefits.

Responsibilities

• Review the daily schedule and ensure all materials are available and ready for use
• Clean and prepare used tooling
• Operate simple hand tools like, i.e., screwdrivers, wrenches, etc., tool measuring devices like hand and computer system gages
• Input and communicate test results and billing system information
• Provide input to help solve manufacturing problems or issues relating to tool setup
• Operates machine shop equipment (saws, sanders, sandblaster, and polisher) on occasion and necessary

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Capable of following tasks, and instruction sheets, working with little to no supervision, multitasking, and focusing on details

• Possess necessary mechanical skills and understanding of how to use tools

• Successfully pass the required pre-employment background check and drug screen
