Job summary

Rohrer Corporation is seeking a Tooling Technician for our Huntley, IL area to prepare tooling, inspect parts, and maintain Pre-Staging equipment. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and hands-on machine operation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will verify tooling, assist in training, and support production by ensuring up-time and orderly tool storage. The position offers a 2:00PM–10:00PM shift with competitive hourly pay and benefits after probation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience operating thermoforming machines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tooling by studying orders and drawings.
• Inspect and stamp tooling with CR# before release.
• Move and secure tooling using cranes/hoists.
• Review logs, check sheets, and work orders.
• Perform tool inspections and maint enance.
• Assist in Pre-Staging equipment maintenance.
• Maintain safe working environment and follow GMP/lockout-tagout.
