Job summary

First Solar, Inc. in Perrysburg Township, Ohio, seeks a supervisor to lead DE technicians in the repair and process control of CHT tools to meet shift goals in Safety, Quality, Yield and Throughput.

The role requires a high school diploma with the specified supervisory/technical experience or an engineering degree, and experience with vacuum systems, metrology, and SAP/Maximo. Expect leadership of 3–5 technicians and a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with supervisory and technical experience is acceptable.
• Experience with vacuum, thermal, laser systems preferred.
• Experience leading 3–5 person crews and writing SOPs is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISO/OSH and safety systems is desirable.
• Ability to analyze engineering data and drive corrective actions using SPC/5-Why.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety procedures and 5S housekeeping standards.
• Plans and supervises daily work assignments for development engineering technicians.
• Supervises on-site service, troubleshooting and repair of HPVD/submodule process equipment.
• Escalates issues and coordinates with engineering to improve yield and performance.
• Ensures tests are executed per the plan designed by engineering.
• Manages shift scheduling and staffing levels; communicates policies to reports.
• Provides direction to shift engineers, maintenance, contractors, and vendors to meet standards and safety requirements.
• Supports environmental health and safety compliance in the HPVD/submodule area.
