Job summary

ProMed Molded Products, Inc. is seeking a Design Technician to lead tooling and fixture design for EOAT and related tools, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and internal manufacturing standards.

You will work cross-functionally, using Creo Parametric or SolidWorks, participate in design reviews, and help drive continuous improvement while documenting work for quality systems.

Qualifications

• 2 year technical/vocational degree or equivalent engineering education.
• 5+ years of related experience in injection molding.
• Proficient in Creo Parametric or Solidworks.
• Possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of tooling practices and fabrication techniques.
• Able to understand and interpret customer drawings.
• Strong work ethic with an unwavering commitment to quality and professional results.
• Be a fact-based problem solver that can strategically analyze situations and problems.
• Be innovative, take initiative, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to continuous improvement company-wide.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Able to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written) to management, customers, and colleagues.
• Professional, courteous, and friendly personality
• Working knowledge of English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Design tooling and fixtures for customer and part manufacturing needs.
• Create designs in Creo Parametric or SolidWorks efficiently.
• Collaborate across functions to define design inputs.
• Conduct design reviews with engineering and tooling teams.
• Prepare and manage layout drawings.
• Maintain design status updates with stakeholders.
• Suggest design changes to extend tooling life.
• Handle tool modifications, repairs, and scope of work.
• Process purchase requisitions and manage inventory.
• Ensure documentation meets quality systems requirements.
