Job summary

A leading supplier of iron castings in Waupaca is seeking a skilled individual to design patterns utilizing 3D CAD software. This role involves working closely with engineers to optimize molding patterns and improving processes. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of CAD systems, particularly PowerShape. The position offers benefits such as life insurance and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of related experience in foundry design.
• Ability to create 3D models from 2D layout drawings.
• Understanding of off-set parting and pattern offsets.

Responsibilities

• Work with foundry tooling engineers on molding patterns.
• Utilize PowerShape to design gating for production.
• Train personnel and recommend process improvements.
