Dauch Corporation in Bowling Green, OH is seeking a Tooling Engineer to join our team. This role drives tooling program management, process optimization, and cost reduction for our machining operations, with emphasis on cutting tool technology and support for production.

You will maintain PFETs, tooling drawings, and tool layouts in AutoCAD, support tooling presetting, inventory, and scrap processes, and quote cost per unit based on tool life. This position is based at our Bowling Green facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing/machining experience.
• Knowledge of cutting tools and manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate comprehensive management of site tooling in alignment with the Dauch Tooling System standards; drive continuous improvement and promote cross-functional cooperation with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing and stores.
• Identify and support continuous improvement activities for quality (scrap reduction), productivity (cycle time) and cost (CPU).
• Maintain PFET, tooling drawings, and tool layouts (AutoCAD or similar).
• Support plant tool presetting operations to ensure accuracy and best practices.
• Support tooling inventory, tool reconditioning, and scrap tooling processes.
• Use problem solving and troubleshooting techniques to resolve machining issues.
• Quote cost per unit of new jobs based on tooling selection and expected tool life.
