Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Tooling Engineer to join its mission of revolutionizing autonomy at sea. You will design and validate tooling for Marauder product lines, working with design and manufacturing to ensure readiness for full-rate production.

The role emphasizes robust engineering, GD&T application, and a hands-on approach to solving manufacturing challenges. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in tooling, strong fundamentals in statics and machine design, and proficiency with CAD/FEA

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or greater in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2+ years designing complex manufacturing or assembly tooling.
Strong fundamentals in statics, solid mechanics, and machine design.
Proven experience with tooling development and product life cycle.
Proficiency with CAD/FEA software such as Siemens NX and FEMAP.

Responsibilities

Design, build and validate tooling to support Marauder product lines.
Interface with design and manufacturing to meet hardware requirements and support full-rate production.
Evaluate mechanical designs for flaws and propose modifications.
Prepare assembly layouts with GD&T and help manufacture tooling.
Analyze tooling designs using hand calculations and finite element models.
Develop validation plans for tooling to ensure requirements are met.
Ensure design, test, and maintenance methods align with quality standards.
