Job summary

Bosch USA in Charleston, SC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to maintain and procure milling tools, and oversee metrology of production parts. You will develop lean manufacturing strategies to optimize processes, workflows, and capacity while ensuring quality and safety.

Responsibilities include creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation (PFMEA, control plans, standard work), coordinating engineering changes, PPAPs, and leading cost/quality delivery improvements in a dynamic

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronic or related).
• Minimum 3 years of technical experience.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, pneumatic and hydraulic plans.
• Basic understanding of programming/coding.
• Strong teamwork, initiative and multi-tasking in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and procure tools used in milling machines.
• Oversee metrology of production parts.
• Develop lean manufacturing strategies for processes and layouts.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation (process flow diagrams, control plans, PFMEA, PQIs, SOPs).
• Implement engineering changes, new releases and PPAP preparation.
• Lead projects to improve cost, quality, delivery, utilization and safety.
• Adapt equipment to run new product types and variations.
• Investigate and solve manufacturing/machining process problems.
