Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in injection molding, tooling, processes, and project management.
• Experience handling multiple projects and driving cost reductions.
• SolidWorks (or similar) design software experience.
• Understanding GDT tolerances of plastic and steel parts.
• Experience managing injection molding tooling projects.
• Strong program management skills.
• Clear communication with all business areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide budgetary quotes and timing for new injection molding tools.
• Obtain quotes for new tooling, issue purchase orders and manage costs.
• Review 3D models and drive design changes to improve performance, cycle times, and tooling life.
• Perform tooling design review and ensure conformance to standards.
• Run mold flow analyses and review hot runner/unscrewing mold designs.
• Calculate press tonnage, cycle times, and part pricing.
• Monitor tooling builds timeline and engineering changes.
• Travel to overseas tooling shops for design review and final part run-off.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate sampling and metrology requests.
• Participate in lean processes to improve layout, flow, and ergonomics.
• Support warranty and cost-reduction efforts.
• Liaise between design and manufacturing on new products and changes.
