The Pivot Group Network in Charlotte, MI is building a network of skilled Tooling Engineers for client companies in West Michigan. You will design and improve tooling, collaborate with production, design, and quality teams to ensure product specifications are met, and manage tooling documentation and standards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in tooling, CAD/CAM proficiency (SolidWorks/AutoCAD/CATIA), and a strong grasp of manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in tooling design, development, and optimization within a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for tooling design and analysis.
Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes, materials, and their impact on tooling performance.
Experience with mold design, progressive dies, and fixture design.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot tooling issues and implement effective corrective actions.

Responsibilities

Designs and develops new tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
Optimizes existing tooling for improved efficiency, cost, and quality.
Conducts root cause analysis and implements corrective actions for tooling-related issues.
