Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of tooling design experience, strong CAD/CAM skills, and knowledge of materials and DFMA principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of tooling design, development, and optimization within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) for tooling design and simulation.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (stamping, injection molding, casting, machining) and tooling requirements.
• DFM/DFMA principles and their application to tooling solutions.
• Knowledge of materials science, heat treatment, and surface finishes relevant to tooling performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize tooling for manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify tooling needs and improve existing designs.
• Conduct root cause analysis of tooling failures and implement corrective actions.
• Manage tooling procurement, inventory, and maintenance programs.
• Evaluate new materials and manufacturing technologies for tooling applications.
• Develop and maintain tooling specifications and documentation.
• Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on tooling best practices.
