Job summary

The Pivot Group Network in Wayland, MI is seeking a Tooling Engineer to design, develop, and test tooling solutions for manufacturing processes on site. You will collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify tooling needs, conduct root-cause analysis of tooling failures, manage tooling inventory and procurement, evaluate new tooling technologies, and document specifications.

Preferred candidates have 5+ years of tooling experience and CAD/CAM proficiency in a manufacturing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years in tooling design and optimization within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tooling design and analysis.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling requirements.
DFM principles and their application to tooling.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test tooling solutions for manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify tooling needs and optimize existing tools.
Conduct root cause analysis of tooling failures and implement corrective actions.
