Job summary

Haynes International is seeking a tooling supervisor to design and sustain tooling inventories for pilger operations. You will collaborate with the Tooling Engineer to ensure on-time deliveries and optimize tool life, while advancing metallurgical knowledge of tool steels for Hastelloy and titanium alloys.

You will lead tooling design improvements using SolidWorks, CAD, and finite element analysis, and supervise related production activities in a lean environment.

Qualifications

• Education includes at least a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology is preferred.
• Experience in industrial facilities with inventory management and procurement is desirable.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and solid math skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop tooling for pilger machines and maintain inventories to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Update drawings and convert paper drawings to electronic 2D/3D formats for efficiency.
• Update tooling systems for spares management, tooling design, and SOP documentation.
• Lead special projects using SolidWorks, FEA, CNC capabilities, and tooling data analysis.
• Support production tooling setup, maintenance, and related manufacturing processes.
• Maintain tooling life records and implement improvements to reduce scrap.
• Provide safety and EH&S compliance within the facility.
